In this course, students will learn how to use data analysis tools like Python, SQL, R, and Microsoft Excel, among many others, to solve business problems. The same concept used in analysing a set of data will be applied to understand the areas of improvement required in business, including a breakdown of profits and losses.
The programme offers flexibility with options for a one-year full-time study or a two-year full-time study that includes a placement year. The programme's coursework helps students to understand business challenges and build data analysis skills for informed strategic decisions. A significant part of the programme is the Global Leadership Development component, designed to strengthen leadership abilities and the capacity to manage diverse teams in international markets.
If you choose the two-year programme, you will complete a 12-month industry placement. This will give you practical experience and allow you to use your knowledge in a working business. This placement will help you understand how businesses work, and how data is used to make decisions. Graduates will be prepared for leadership roles that need good analytical skills, and the ability to understand data for business strategy. Possible jobs include Data Analytics Manager, Business Intelligence Director, Global Strategy Consultant, and roles in international business.
