BA Creative Writing and English Literature

The BA (Hons) Creative Writing and English Literature programme at the University of East Anglia is designed to nurture students' creative talents and prepare them for careers in the creative industry. Grade Requirements:

Applicants should possess qualifications equivalent to A-levels within the grade range of AAA in subjects such as English language and literature, government, sociology and politics. Level 3 Extended Diplomas with grades ranging from DDD are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants for whom English is not their first language are required to demonstrate proficiency by achieving an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.

For international students enrolling in the BA (Hons) Creative Writing and English Literature programme from the University of East Anglia, the tuition fees for the 2025/26 academic year are £22,000.

The University of East Anglia provides a variety of scholarships to help students financially, available for both UK and International applicants. These include merit-based, automatic and competitive awards.

For graduation, the 60th anniversary scholarship offers £ 1,000 (30 awarded annually), while the International UG merit scholarship offers £ 4,000 per year for foreign students. Early payment discounts of up to £ 1,000 are also available. Talented musicians can apply for a music scholarship, valued at £ 3,000 in three years.

Postgraduate students can qualify for the 30% Continuation Scholarship (for UEA Graduates), Vice Chancellor's Excellence Award (£ 7,000), or International PG Merit Scholarship (£ 4,000- £ 6,000). Country-specific awards are also available for India, Pakistan and Bangladesh students. Additionally, UEA alumni receive a 10% tuition discount.
