MSci Chiropractic

Course Overview

Chiropractic healthcare is the art and profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. Teesside University offers the best of chiropractic, combining cutting-edge science with effective diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these disorders.

You develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours which will enable you to deliver high levels of patient care safely and competently. At Teesside, there is a mix of theory and practice-based modules that develop the knowledge base and practical skills required to become a chiropractor. You undertake several clinical placements throughout the course, including spending time in chiropractic practices throughout the Northeast of England.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements

  • A level and 104 UCAS tariff points from three A-level courses, including 40 points from a science or social science subject, excluding general studies or critical thinking.
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) 112 (DMM) UCAS tariff points in a science or health-related subject.
  • Sports (performance and excellence), sports and exercise science, sports coaching and fitness, and sports subjects are acceptable.

English Language Requirements

  • International chiropractors must be able to communicate in English to the standard equivalent to Level 7 of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no element below 6.5.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee stated is the full programme cost for international students on the MSci Chiropractic programme for the January 2026 entry/May 2026 entry, based on the standard fee for a full-time undergraduate degree of £17,000. Fees are subject to annual change.
