MSc Computer Science

The MSc Computer Science is a one-year full-time programme that offers a foundation in important computing areas and is designed to meet the requirements of the modern computing industry and providing students with practical skills and knowledge. The course outline includes subjects such as advanced programming, cybersecurity, and database systems, and is suitable for those with or without a computing qualification.

The course is taught through lectures, workshops, and laboratory sessions and is assessed through coursework, practical exercises, and individual or group project work. The programme ends with a research project or dissertation that allows students to apply their knowledge to a specialised area.

Grade Requirements: 

• Candidates need at least a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in any subject.
• Candidates who do not meet the academic requirements but have relevant professional experience may also be considered.

English Proficiency: 

• Candidates need to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5, with no single component below 5.5, 
• TOEFL and PTE are also accepted.

For the 2025/26 academic year, the tuition fee MSc Computer Science is £20,950 for international students.
