MSc Global Product Development and Management

Course Overview

MSc Global Product Development and Management at Cranfield University equip the students with advanced skills to design, grow innovative products for global markets. The program focuses on the intersection of engineering, operations and management, and prepares graduates to lead the product development teams in international industries. Through a combination of taught modules (40%), group projects (20%) and an individual research project (40%), students gain practical experience in digital engineering, lean manufacturing and sustainable production processes. This course is recognised by IMechE, RAeS and IET, and meets the educational requirements for chartered engineer status for eligible candidates.

Entry Requirements

The university also accepts several other English qualifications, including Cambridge English exams and Duolingo. All exam results should be obtained through examinations taken within two years of the date of commencement of the course. For those students who do not meet these requirements, Cranfield University offers pre-intensive English courses to help reach the required level.

Grade Requirements:

A UK 2:2 honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant field. Applicants with non-STEM degrees but significant relevant work experience may be considered.  

English Proficiency:

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following tests: IELTS with 6.5 overall (minimum 5.5 in all components). 

Cost of Study

Tuition fees for the 2025/26 MSc program for UK/Irish students are £ 12,505, while international students pay £ 27,910. Students must pay a non-refundable deposit of £500 for UK students and £1,000 for international students, which is deducted from their total tuition costs.  Additional fees may include accommodation, study materials, and living expenses.

Scholarships

Several funding opportunities are available from Cranfield University to help students who are studying an MSc in Global Product Development and Management.  The GREAT Scholarship specifically offers £10,000 in financing to overseas students who are from Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Thailand, or Vietnam. The institution also takes part in the Chevening and Commonwealth scholarship programs, which provide eligible international students from participating nations with full tuition and living expenses reimbursement.  Government postgraduate loans are available to UK students to assist with the cost of their education.
