Course Overview

The BSc Business Analytics and Management (with a Year in Industry) is a programme that satisfies the current demand for managers who know how to make data-driven decisions. During this course, students will learn the process (and tools for) of managing, processing and analysing data. Then it goes further to educate them on how to manage businesses/organisations effectively with the data results.

Additionally, this program will expose students to Information Technologies and concepts like risks and probabilities. Then students can decide upon which aspect of business they wish to specialise in. This course option comes with a placement year during the third year. This presents an opportunity for students to practice what they learnt and gain relevant experience.

At the University of East Anglia, the watchword is “learn by doing”. While the course uses traditional teaching methods like lectures, seminars and presentations, the modules include a project for real experience. This course uses a formative assessment method that includes examinations, coursework, essays, projects, etc., to give feedback and ensure a deep understanding of the entire course.

Additionally, this programme provides support through the Learning Enhancement team. This enhances the study, writing, and research skills of the student. If need be, students can reach out to the Student Support Services for extra help.

The University of Anglia admits students from all parts of the world. But, to gain admission, certain requirements must be met. Here are the entry requirements to study BSc Business Analytics and Management (with a Year in Industry) at the University of Anglia:

All applicants must hold or be working towards GCSE grade C/4 in English Language and Mathematics at a minimum.

Grade requirements

Applicants should hold a minimum of ABB in A-Levels. For BTECs, DDM is acceptable. Also, applicants may tender a Pass Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 30 credits at Level 3 and Merit in 15 credits at Level 3. International applicants with 32 points overall in the International Baccalaureate will be considered. For a combination of BTEC and A-Levels, the university accepts: DDM in the Extended Diploma and DD plus B at A-Level.

English Proficiency

Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.0. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee (2025/2026) for BSc Business Analytics and Management (with a Year in Industry) at the University of East Anglia is £22,000.

Although this fee covers the cost of teaching and assessment as well as the use of university facilities, it does not include additional expenses like placements, equipment and clothing, among others.

Scholarships

To assist the underprivileged and encourage exceptional individuals, the University of East Anglia awards its students with various scholarships and bursaries.

An example is the International UG Merit Scholarships. It is an automatic award for students paying the international tuition fee. Valued at £4000 per year of study, the scholarship is funded as a tuition fee.
