MSc Aerospace Engineering with Advanced Practice

Course Overview

The MSc Aerospace Engineering (with Advanced Practice) programme taught at Teesside University gives students a higher level of knowledge in aerospace fields while adding a work or research placement component. Students study advanced aerospace structures, fluid dynamics, finite element methods, space mission analysis, trajectory design, sustainability, and supply chain management. The “advanced practice” part extends the master’s by including a vocational or research internship.

This course typically runs full-time over 20 months with advanced practice included. It combines taught modules and the placement/internship. Students will progress through core technical modules before doing the advanced practice component and a major research or project. Teaching uses lectures, labs, tutorials, and simulation/computational work. Students apply theoretical knowledge to real or simulated aerospace problems. Assessments include written reports, design tasks, lab reports, exams, project deliverables, and performance during the internship or research placement.
