LLB Law Graduate Status

Course Overview

The LLB Law (Graduate Status) at Teesside University is designed specifically for individuals who already hold a university degree in a non-law subject. This accelerated two-year programme allows students to earn a full, recognised law degree in a shorter time frame. It provides a solid foundation in legal principles and equips graduates with the analytical and practical skills needed for success in the legal field or related professions such as teaching, policy-making, and research.

A law degree is one of the most respected academic qualifications, valued across industries for the intellectual discipline it provides. It trains you to think critically, challenge ideas, and approach problems logically. While many students pursue careers as solicitors or barristers, a law degree from Teesside University also opens doors to opportunities in law enforcement, criminal justice, management, human resources, and public administration. Whether you want to begin a new career or advance your current one, this degree provides multiple career pathways.

Law remains an exciting and dynamic subject due to its ever-evolving nature. As a graduate, you will be highly skilled in research, critical analysis, and problem-solving. You will also develop strong writing and communication abilities — skills that give you confidence and adaptability across any career path.
