MSc Nursing Science Registered Nurse Child

Course Overview

This two-year master's programme is a pre-registration nursing course created for graduates from any undergraduate subject. This course provides an opportunity for students to build experience in a caring role and become a registered professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). 

The programme is designed to prepare students for a successful career in Children and Young People's Nursing, equipping them with the necessary skills to be an accountable and skilled professional.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other important information about their education. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate the work experience they have.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need at least a second-class undergraduate degree in any subject.
  • Alternatively, a different degree will be acceptable if the student has enough relevant work experience in a caring role.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants for whom English is not the main language need to score 7.0 overall in IELTS, with a minimum of 6.5 in the written section and 7.0 in reading, listening, and speaking.
  • Equivalent test scores may also be accepted.

Cost of Study

For international students, the tuition fee for this course is £19,350 per year.
