The BEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering (with Foundation Year) is for students who need additional preparation before entering the main degree programme. The foundation year provides a solid grounding in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering principles. This ensures that students develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the main studies.


Throughout the course, you will learn core topics such as Circuit Design, Power Systems, Control Systems, and Digital Electronics. You will gain experience using industry-standard tools and software, as well as access to modern laboratories.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements: 

  • UCAS tariff of 64 points

  • Access to HE Diploma: Pass with at least 64 UCAS points

  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Pass, including 64 points from Higher Level subjects

  • T Level: Pass (with Distinction or Merit)

  • GCSEs: 5 at Grade C /4 including Maths and English or equivalent

English Proficiency: 

International students must demonstrate English proficiency through tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic or equivalent.
