BEng Chemical Engineering

The BEng Chemical Engineering at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, is designed to help students develop processes that reduce hazardous and harmful emissions to the environment, improve energy efficiency,  and enhance the use of renewable resources and raw materials. Throughout the 3-year programme, students will create sustainable solutions that protect the environment and ensure responsible use of resources in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on energy, water and climate action.

Teesside University's BEng Chemical Engineering at Teesside University degree is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers under licence from the Engineering Council. It fully satisfies the requirements for Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status and partially satisfies the requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. 

Students will also have the opportunity to travel internationally through student mobility visits or spend a semester studying abroad with one of the university's partners in countries such as China, the Czech Republic, Spain and Malaysia.

• Applicants who hold a foundation year or HND may enter Year 2 or 3, depending on completed credits and subject relevance.

English Proficiency:

• International students must meet the IELTS requirement score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
• An equivalent SELT test score is accepted.

The tuition fee for international students for the BEng Chemical Engineering at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, is £17,000 per year.
