The Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Programme: Design Engineering is created for students who need additional preparation before entering an undergraduate degree in Design Engineering or related fields. It provides a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering principles, ensuring a smooth transition into university-level study.
Students will develop problem-solving skills, an understanding of engineering concepts, and strong experience with design and technology applications. The programme is ideal for those who may not meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate engineering degree but have the potential to succeed in the field.
Grade Requirements
Entry requirements vary by university but typically include:
A Levels: CCD to CDD
EPQ Offer: Some universities may accept CDD plus a Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) grade B
