The BA (Hons) Modelmaking degree is designed for creative individuals who enjoy problem-solving. This course develops students’ technical expertise in traditional and digital modelmaking techniques, allowing them to create highly detailed and precise models for various industries.
Students will explore different materials, tools, and methods used in model fabrication, combining craftsmanship with modern technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and digital sculpting. Grade requirements vary by institution, but common requirements include:
UCAS Tariff of at least 104 points.
A-Level: BBC–BBB (subjects related to Art, Design, or Technology may be preferred).
BTEC National Extended Diploma: DMM in a relevant subject.
Universities may also accept other equivalent qualifications, such as IB Diplomas, Access to HE courses, or Foundation Diplomas in Art and Design.
