MSc Manufacturing Management 18-month route

Course Overview

This master's course is built to give students a full understanding of how to manage manufacturing. The studies cover important topics like using sustainable materials, applying lean process design, planning logistics and operations, and managing quality and continuous improvement. The goal is to mix technical knowledge with professional abilities, helping graduates find great careers.

Learning involves a good balance of classroom theory, hands-on practical work, and student group tasks. Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Candidates should submit a personal statement in which they clearly state why they want to study the course and submit other information regarding their studies. A relevant academic or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs alongside their applications to display their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Candidates need at least a second-class undergraduate degree (a 2:2 Honours or above) in an engineering field.

  • International qualifications can be accepted based on their equivalence to UK qualifications, often guided by resources like the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC).

English Language Requirements:

  • Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must score 6.5 overall in IELTS, with no less than 5.5 in any band, or show an equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) score. Those who do not satisfy this requirement may be taken only on a case-by-case basis, or they may be able to take an academic English course at the university.

Cost of Study

The full-time tuition fee for international students starting the MSc Manufacturing Management (18-month route) at the University of Hertfordshire is £22,450 per year. The tuition fee is subject to an annual increase, but students who pay their tuition fees in full at the time of registration may be eligible for a discount of £1,000.

Scholarships

The university offers some financial support and scholarships for postgraduate students. These scholarships include the Chancellor's International Scholarship, which provides a tuition fee reduction of about £500 up to £4,000 based on academic merit. Additionally, University of Hertfordshire graduates are eligible for the University of Hertfordshire Graduate Scholarship, which offers a 20% reduction on the postgraduate tuition fee.
