The BSc Business Finance and Economics with a Year Abroad at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a four-year programme designed to provide students with a strong foundation in economics, finance, and business management. The course is offered in collaboration with the Norwich Business School and the School of Economics.
Through this programme, students gain a thorough understanding of economic analysis, financial markets, corporate finance, and business management. They also have the opportunity to study abroad during the third year at one of UEA’s partner institutions worldwide. This year abroad allows students to experience a new environment to help them broaden their global outlook and enhance their employability.
The curriculum for this course includes compulsory modules in economics, finance, business, and accounting, with the flexibility to choose additional modules as the programme advances. Students benefit from guest lectures by industry professionals, workshops, networking events, and mentoring opportunities. UEA also provides dedicated support through the STEPS (Skills, Training, Employability, Progression, and Support) module, as well as access to a university-wide Learning Enhancement team for assistance with skills such as mathematics, writing, and critical thinking.
