LLB Law with Foundation Year

Course Overview

The LLB Law (with Foundation Year) at Teesside University is a highly respected programme that develops your ability to think critically, question deeply, and analyse information effectively. This course includes a foundation year — perfect if you need additional academic preparation or if your current qualifications don’t meet the standard entry requirements for direct entry into the first year.

A law degree from Teesside opens doors to a wide range of professional opportunities. While many students pursue careers as solicitors, barristers, or legal executives, graduates are also well-prepared for roles in criminal justice, probation services, law enforcement, management, recruitment, and non-profit sectors.

Law is a constantly evolving discipline, and this course equips you with the tools to adapt and lead in a changing world. As a graduate, you will be an innovative problem-solver and an insightful researcher — skilled in interpreting, analysing, and critiquing complex information. You will also develop advanced communication skills, both written and oral, enabling you to construct persuasive arguments and challenge ideas effectively in any professional setting.
