The BA Interior Design includes a foundation year and it runs for a period of one year. It is one of the longest interior courses in Europe, preparing students to become successful design professionals. Interior design is a creative field that focuses on planning living spaces, shopping, working, and other activities, centred on transforming buildings.
Students will learn skills for creating interior design structures, improving circulation, selecting materials, colour palettes, and lighting schemes. Learning takes place in a studio with excellent workshop equipment and an opportunity to work on live projects with real clients.
The programme teaches creative skills, including architectural drawing, 2D and 3D industry-standard Computer Aided Design (CAD), and the history of design and architecture. Assessment is entirely based on project work and critiques, with no separate written examinations, ensuring the process replicates professional design practice.
