Course Overview

The MSc International Maritime Business at Solent University, Southampton is designed to meet the demands of the fast-evolving global maritime industry. Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement explaining their motivation for joining the course, along with an academic and/or employer reference. A CV may also be submitted to highlight relevant professional experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • A second-class honours degree (2:2) or higher in a related subject such as Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, Economics, Law, or a technical field.
  • Applicants with a degree in another discipline may be considered if they have relevant professional experience in the maritime, business, or logistics sectors.

English Proficiency:

  • IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each component.
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 92, or other equivalent recognised qualifications.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for full-time international students enrolled in the MSc International Maritime Business programme for the 2025/26 academic year is £18,350 per year.

Scholarships

International postgraduate students at Solent University have access to several fee reductions and awards, including the Solent Alumni Discount, which gives Solent graduates a generous 20% reduction on their tuition fees for master's study.
