MSc Nursing Science Registered Nurse Mental Health

Course Overview

This two-year Master's degree allows graduates from any undergraduate subject to become a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The programme has been designed to meet the latest NMC standards, preparing students for swift career progression within mental health nursing. As a postgraduate, you will develop high-level attributes with a particular focus on research, leadership and advanced practice.

The course is delivered at the Coach Lane Campus and includes practical placements. Both theoretical and practical elements run alongside each other to give a well-rounded learning experience. The programme will help cultivate your compassion and competence in the evidence-based framework by ensuring you make a significant impact on the well-being and mental health of your clients.

Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should have a minimum of a second-class honours degree or its equivalent in any subject. Other professional qualifications or relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds are required to have a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.0, with at least 6.5 in the writing section and at least 7.0 in the reading, listening, and speaking sections. 
  • International students can also submit other test scores, like TOEFL and PTE.
