MSc Electrical Power Engineering

Course Overview

The Northumbria University, Newcastle MSc Electrical Power Engineering programme will enable students to gain additional insight into the modern electrical systems, as well as power electronics, electric drive systems, smart grids, renewable energy technologies, wind, and photovoltaic systems, among others. Students in this course develop skills such as project planning and management, and cost analysis skills. Entry Requirements for Nepalese Students

Grade Requirements:
  • You need at least a second-class honours degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power.
  • Alternatively, a different degree will be acceptable if the student has relevant work experience and other qualifications in the field.
English Proficiency:
  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score an overall 6.5 in IELTS with no component below 5.5, or submit equivalent test scores like PTE and TOEFL.
