MSc Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics with Advanced Practice

Course Overview

This Master's programme was created to dig deep into cancer and molecular diagnostics by addressing its clinical needs and global health challenges. The Advanced Practice module makes this programme unique, and it gives students the experience they need to make a real difference. The Advanced Practice module involves a research or development internship for a semester, increasing their chances for employment and education.

Students are taught at the National Horizons Centre (NHC), giving them access to the high-tech facilities for genomic, proteomic, and advanced cellular imaging studies. The full-time version of this course lasts for two years, giving them time for a broad industry experience.

The programme uses lectures, seminars, and lab sessions to teach professional scientific techniques so they can apply them in a Life Science Research Project. Assessments include practical exams, technical reports, presentations, and a final dissertation.

Entry Requirements for Indian Students

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, a portfolio, and their CVs to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Candidates need at least a 2.2 in a scientific field, such as biology, biochemistry, microbiology, human biology, or other similar health-related courses.
  • Other International qualifications equivalent to a degree are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates should submit an overall score of 6.0 or higher in the IELTS score, with no component below 5.5.
  • PTE Academic and TOEFL are also accepted.

Cost of Study
