BEng Civil Engineering with Foundation Year

The BEng Civil Engineering (with Foundation Year) at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, prepares students for a career in civil engineering. This course is for individuals who may not meet direct entry requirements for the honours degree and wish to build foundational knowledge. It aims to develop understanding of core engineering principles and practices.

The course covers important learning areas including mathematics, physics, and an introduction to engineering concepts. Grade Requirements:

• Applicants typically require 32-88 UCAS tariff points, including A-levels, BTEC, for entry to the foundation year.
• Alternatively, other relevant international qualifications equivalent to A-level are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no component lower than 5.5.
• Alternatively, other English language qualifications like LanguageCert International ESOL SELT are considered.

The tuition fee for the BEng Civil Engineering (with Foundation Year) is £17,000 per year for international students. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may change.

The university offers scholarships to international students to support them financially. The Vice-Chancellor's scholarship, which acknowledges exceptional students demonstrating skills and commitment to global leadership, offering a one-time £7,000 fee waiver during the first year of study, is one of the scholarships awarded.
