Course Overview

Entry Requirements for Indian Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement, academic or employer reference, and a detailed research proposal, with an optional CV, to show their suitability for the course.

Grade Requirements:

Applicants need a UCAS score of 102. (A-levels at BCC grade or Scottish Highers at BBBC, which must include two science subjects). A minimum entry requirement of a 90 UCAS Tariff is accepted (such as A-levels at CCC or Scottish Highers at BCCC, also including two science subjects).

English Proficiency:

Applicants need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component below 5.5. TOEFL iBT with a score of 78. The Oxford Test of English (OTE) with a score of 121. A Pearson Test of English (Academic) score of 55.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the BSc Biological Sciences programme for the 2025/2026 academic session is £15,200 per year.

Scholarships

Glasgow Caledonian University offers various scholarships for international undergraduate students. The "New to GCU Undergraduate Scholarship" provides eligible international students studying a full-time on-campus course in Glasgow a tuition fee discount of up to £2,500 for each academic year, potentially totalling up to £10,000 over four years.
