The BSc (Hons) History and Politics is that special degree that examines historical events and its influence on modern political structures, ideologies, and decision-making. Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary by university, but typical offers include:

  • A-Levels: ABB–BBC, including at least one essay-based subject (e.g., History, Politics, Sociology, or English)

  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 30–34 points, with Higher Level subjects in relevant disciplines

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM in a relevant subject (Social Sciences, Humanities, or Public Services)

  • Access to HE Diploma: 60 credits, with at least 30 credits at Distinction in Humanities or Social Science subjects

  • GCSE/National 4/National 5: Grade C/4 in English Language and Mathematics

English Proficiency:

For international students whose first language is not English, proof of English proficiency is required. English language requirements typically include IELTS of 6.5 points, TOEFL iBT of 90 points, PTE Academic of 62 points overall or equivalent. 

Some universities may offer pre-sessional English courses for students who do not meet these requirements.
