The MSc Business Analytics programme at the University of East Anglia is a full-time course that lasts one year. It aims to train students to become skilled business analysts who can handle all parts of the analytics process. The main goal is to help students learn how to gather useful insights from complex data and use them effectively while considering ethical and legal issues.
During the course, students will study key topics like data visualisation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and decision modelling. They will also have practical experience through core modules such as Artificial Intelligence for Business, Strategic Cyber Security in Business, Business Leadership and Change Management, and a Business Analytics Project. The programme focuses not just on technical skills but also on the ethical handling of data throughout its lifecycle. Students are mostly evaluated through assignments and in-class tests.
After completing the programme, graduates will have strong skills in analytical thinking, using data tools, and making strategic decisions. These skills can lead to various job opportunities in areas like finance, healthcare, supply chain, marketing, technology, and consulting.
