MSc Data Science

The university first began in 1930 as Constantine Technical College. It became Teesside Polytechnic in 1969 and was given full university status in 1992.

Grade Requirements:

• You should normally hold a first degree in a related subject area with at least a 2:2 classification (or equivalent qualification).

• Acceptable subjects include Artificial Intelligence, Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Data Science, and Digital Forensics. 

English Proficiency:

• International students will need to demonstrate proficiency in English by obtaining an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent. 

The tuition fee to study an MSc in Data Science for the 2025/2026 academic session is £17,000. Please note that fees are provisional and, therefore, subject to change.

Teesside University has different scholarships to help international students pay for their studies. One of them is the Global Excellence Scholarship. This is for international students who are starting a foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate course. If you receive this scholarship, you will get £2,000 off your tuition fees for your first full year at the university.

Another scholarship is the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. This is a special award for students who have strong academic results and can show they are future leaders. If you are selected, you will get £7,000 off your tuition fees in your first year of study.
