MSc Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics

Course Overview

The MSc Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics programme focuses on cancer and molecular diagnostics to tackle the present clinical and global health issues. Students will benefit from the National Horizons Centre (NHC) by researching with research experts and excellent facilities for genomic, proteomic, and advanced cellular imaging.

Students are taught through lectures, engaging seminars, and experimental lab sessions to build their techniques. Students will learn about treatments, using bioinformatics software, and completing an independent Life Science Research Project. Assessment includes reports, oral and poster presentations, practical exams, and a final dissertation.

Teesside University has a history from 1930, when it was founded as Constantine Technical College and later became a university in 1992. Entry Requirements for Egyptian Students

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, and their CVs to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Candidates need at least a second-class undergraduate degree in scientific subjects, such as biology, biochemistry, microbiology, human biology, or other closely related health subjects.
  • Other International qualifications equivalent to an undergraduate degree are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates need an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no score below 5.5.
  • Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, amongst others.

The tuition fee for the MSc Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics at Teesside University is £17,000, subject to annual change.
