MEng Aerospace Engineering

The Teesside University MEng Aerospace Engineering is an integrated Master's degree designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of aerospace design, construction, and operation. 

This programme prepares students to design, test, and build various aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles, developing their knowledge in areas such as fluids, mechanics, flight control systems, structures, materials, and propulsion. It incorporates advanced topics like aerodynamics and complex unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) design projects.

Learning occurs through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, including laboratory work and projects. Students gain access to extensive aerospace engineering workshops, flight simulators, wind tunnels, and fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. 

The course is professionally accredited by The Institution of Engineering and Technology, ensuring industry-relevant skills. Assessment includes a mix of assignments, exams, continuous assessment, and group work, with a final year project report and presentation.

Grade Requirements: 

• Applicants need 112-128 UCAS tariff points, including A Levels, BTEC, Access to HE Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, T-Level, or the International Baccalaureate.
•  A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency: 

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to demonstrate English language proficiency. This typically requires achieving an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, or submitting equivalent scores from other recognised tests like Pearson PTE. Test results must have been obtained within the past 24 months.

International students pay £17,000 per year as tuition for the MEng Aerospace Engineering programme at Teesside University.

Teesside University offers several scholarships for eligible international undergraduate students, including those on integrated Master's programmes like MEng Aerospace Engineering. These can include the Global Excellence Scholarship, offering £2,000 for students demonstrating academic excellence. The prestigious Vice Chancellor's Scholarship provides a one-off payment of £7,000 for outstanding applicants. 

Additionally, an Alumni Scholarship of £1,000 is available for previous Teesside graduates progressing to another programme. Specific country bursaries for students from different countries are also available.
