MA Interior Design with Advanced Practice

Course Overview

This MA programme is for those wishing to work in the fast growing creative industry of interior design, it focuses on converting buildings to create facilitating environments. The curriculum deals with current trends such as health, well-being, and sustainability, with the social and ethical plans in practice.

Students will learn to consider their clients needs, spatial layouts, and technical aspects like selecting materials and lighting which prepares them for professional practice. Assessment is mostly project-based, using a portfolio of designed work, which often includes a verbal presentation, demonstrating the research and analytical journey to the final solution.

Teesside University started from 1930, when it was founded as Constantine Technical College and later became a university in 1992. Entry Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, and CVs to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Candidates need a 2:2 degree or equivalent in spatial design.
  • A degree in design with experience in interior design may be considered.
  • Other International qualifications equivalent to a degree are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates need an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no score below 5.5.
  • Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the MA Interior Design (with Advanced Practice) at Teesside University is £10,000, which is subject to change yearly.

The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship offers £7,000 for outstanding students, while the British Council GREAT Scholarships provides £10,000 for Master's programmes.
