The MSc Construction Project Management with BIM at Northumbria University, Newcastle, is designed for individuals having some level of experience in construction. Students will be able to attain transferable skills in project management and develop specialist skills and knowledge of construction projects. Also, students will learn how the use of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) enhances construction efficiency. This course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
The programme covers learning in areas such as procurement and supply chain management, theory and practice, people in project management, integrated building information modelling projects, and construction project planning and delivery. Teaching methods include lectures, small group seminars, workshops, master classes, and field visits. Assessment methods include assignments, written reports, exams, group presentations and debates. Students will also undertake a Master's project on a topic of interest, to sharpen their skills in evaluating and applying research techniques and methodologies.
