The MSc Civil Engineering in the UK is designed for students with a general background in civil engineering or a related field. It aims to enhance technical expertise and practical skills preparing graduates leadership roles in the construction and infrastructure sector.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, its equivalent from a university in the UK, or an equivalent qualification obtained from a well-regarded institution overseas.

  • Some universities may consider applicants with relevant professional experience in the field instead of formal academic qualifications.

Grade Requirement

  • A Upper second-class (2:1) honours degree at the undergraduate level.

  • Lower second-class degree  (2:2) can be considered if there is evidence of a good mathematical background and/or relevant industrial/ engineering experience.

English Proficiency:

  • Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.
