Course Details

BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering teaches you how to design, build and maintain electrical systems, electronic devices, and power distribution networks. The program covers important areas like digital systems, control engineering, power electronics, telecommunications, and microprocessor applications.


During this course, you'll gain hands-on experience working on projects in modern laboratories, and in doing so, learn industry-standard software and tools. Notably, a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering teaches you a combination of theoretical knowledge and the practical skills necessary, to prepare you for the diverse sector in the real world.

Entry Requirements

As an applicant, here are some of the entry requirements you must meet to study BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the UK.

 

  • A-Levels: BBB-ABB grades including Mathematics and Physics

  • International Baccalaureate: 32-34 grade points with Higher Level Mathematics and Physics

  • BTEC: DDM-DDD grades in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

  • Scottish Highers: AABBB including Mathematics and Physics

 

English Language Requirements

 

Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.
