BSc Human Resource Management with Law With Foundation Year

This BSc Human Resource Management course is an integrated four-year programme that begins with a Foundation Year, providing a pathway for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree. This first year focuses on building core academic writing skills, improving numeracy, and introducing subject-specific content, ensuring a thorough preparation for subsequent degree-level studies. Completing the Foundation Year is a requirement for progression to the main degree.

Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, students move into the three-year BSc Human Resource Management degree. It covers key areas such as talent management, operational management, leadership, recruitment, and employee relations, preparing students for effective people management in various organisational settings.

Grade Requirements:

• Prospective students for the Foundation Year typically need A-levels or equivalent qualifications, such as a BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC Diploma, T Levels, or the International Baccalaureate. 
• Equivalent qualifications from other countries are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual skill score (reading, writing, listening, or speaking) lower than 5.5. 
• Other equivalent English test scores, such as TOEFL and PTE, are also accepted.

For international students, the full-time standard undergraduate tuition fee for the  2025/26 Academic Year for courses including a Foundation Year is £16,900 per year.

There are several scholarships available at the university to help students with their studies. Excellence Scholarships provide £2,500 per year for three years to students who achieve a set number of UCAS tariff points from specified qualifications. Achievement Scholarships, worth £500 per year, are given to students with 120 UCAS tariff points. Additionally, various other scholarships are available, including a £1,000 scholarship for international students in their first year.
