About University

Northumbria University is a public university located in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the North East of England. It started as Rutherford College in 1877. In 1969, it became known as Newcastle Polytechnic, and in 1992, it officially became Northumbria University.

Entry Requirements

Applicants who do not meet the academic requirements but who do have substantial experience of working in a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will be considered for this course. 

Grade Requirements:

  • To study the MSc Business with Business Analytics (with Advanced Practice) at Northumbria University, you will need at least a second-class honours degree (2:2) or an equivalent qualification from your home country.

English Proficiency: 

  • International applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide proof of proficiency in English. To do this, they’re expected to have an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each of the four components. 
  • Those who do not meet this criteria may be eligible to join the university's Pre-Sessional English before starting the programme.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/2026 session, the tuition fee to study an MSc Business with Business Analytics (with Advanced Practice) at Northumbria University is £23,950.

Scholarships

Northumbria University provides several scholarships and bursaries for deserving international students to reduce their financial burdens. For example, eligible international students will receive an automatic bursary for £1,334, covering one month’s living costs in London, applied at the Conditional Offer as a fee discount. This bursary is effective for intakes in January 2025, May 2025 and September 2025. 

If you receive this bursary, it does not stop you from being eligible for additional bursaries and scholarships.
