Course Overview

The BSc in Human Resource Management at Canterbury Christ Church University focuses on how to manage people within a business or organisation. This CIPD-approved course prepares students to deal with an array of human resource management issues within a business and develop it organisationally. This specialised programme covers all the areas of people management in an organisation, including employee recruitment, learning & development, reward and performance management.

The foundation year will help students who lack academic preparation for taking up a specialised Human Resource Management course. It will develop a strong foundation of knowledge in HRM alongside academic and transferable skills to ensure students get the most out of degree-level studies.

Throughout the BSc course, students develop in-depth knowledge and learn how to contribute to business performance strategically from a people management point of view. Also, Canterbury Christ Church University aims to equip graduates with an understanding of leadership and how the behaviours of individuals and teams contribute to the success of organisations. After completing the course, students are prepared to enter a range of professional and business roles, such as HR generalist, HR manager, HR advisor, learning and development specialist, HR business partner, recruitment consultant, and HR outsourcing consultant.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements

  • Entry requires 64 UCAS points, earned from A-Levels, BTECs, or equivalent qualifications, including T Levels, Access to Higher Education Diplomas, apprenticeships, and international qualifications. Applicants without Level 3 qualifications are also considered.

English Proficiency

  • International students must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following tests: IELTS with an overall score of 6.0–6.5 and a minimum of 5.5–6.0 in each component; TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 60 overall and specific section scores of Reading 8, Listening 7, Speaking 16, and Writing 18; PTE Academic with 59 overall and no section below 59; or Oxford ELLT with 6 overall and no section below 5.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, the annual tuition fee for the BSc in Human Resource Management at Canterbury Christ Church University is £15,500 for international students.
