Great News for Students Planning to Study in the UK This September! The University of Sheffield has opened applications for the Robotics with a Foundation Year BEng course!
The Robotic and Mechatronic Engineering course is a four-year programme designed with input from industry experts and the latest research. It focuses on giving you practical skills that are in high demand in the engineering world.
To be eligible for the course, you need to have:
BBB in A Levels (any subjects)
Or BBC, including Maths and at least one of these subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
Or an equivalent qualification.
For students without a strong Maths/Science background:
Foundation Year: This year helps you build the basics you need to succeed in the main course.
After finishing the foundation year, you’ll move on to the first year of the BEng Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering course and complete three more years of specialized study.
First Year:
Learn how to control robotic systems.
Second Year:
Explore intelligent systems, mechanical design, and C++ programming.
Work on a hands-on project where you’ll build robots in the University of Sheffield’s lab or the iForge Makerspace.
Use 3D CAD tools to design systems.
Final Year:
Study advanced topics like machine learning and robotics.
Choose from optional modules to learn about the lifecycle of engineering projects.
