MSc Real Estate Work Experience

Course Overview

The MSc Real Estate (Work Experience) at Sheffield Hallam University is a two-year, full-time programme and includes a work placement year where students can gain practical experience. The course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and covers key areas like property law, valuation, and real estate management. Students will interact with several core modules and use various technologies, including software packages and industry databases, to assist with their learning.

During the year of work placement, students will meet regularly with an academic supervisor to discuss their progress and what they have learned while working. They will also talk about the contributions they have made to the company. Additionally, students have the opportunity to join an international field trip that helps them build the skills they need. This trip allows them to work with other students from related fields, helping them understand how different jobs in real estate connect.
