When should I start preparing my university application?

August – October

Preparation

• University Research: We recommend that you explore different modules and universities alongside our AHZ counsellors in Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad to find your perfect fit.
• Document Gathering: It’s a good idea to get your transcripts and certificates ready early on so you can avoid any of those stressful last-minute delays.
• English Proficiency: You'll want to register for your IELTS or PTE exam soon—aiming for at least a 5.5 will keep your options wide open.
• Personal Statement: Try to put together a compelling essay; you can always use AHZ’s resources to help make sure your application really stands out.

How and when do I submit my application?

October – January

The Application Window

• Undergraduate (UCAS): It’s usually best to submit all your undergraduate applications directly through the official UCAS portal to keep things organised.
• Postgraduate Direct: We suggest applying to university portals with our help, as this is a great way to boost your scholarship opportunities.
• Recommendation Letters: You might want to reach out to your professors for strong Letters of Recommendation; they’re a fantastic way to really highlight your potential.
• Internal English Tests: It's worth gathering your proficiency letters for an IELTS waiver so our team can verify if you’re eligible to skip the extra exam.

What happens after I receive a university offer?

February – May

Evaluation & Acceptance

• eviewing Offers: You may receive "Conditional Offers" or "Unconditional Offers” from different universities. Our staff can help you review these offers and make the best choice possible.
• Requesting your CAS: After you meet all conditions and pay your deposit, the university will issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
• Securing Your Seat: Once you've chosen a university, make sure you officially accept the offer and pay the tuition fee deposit.

What are the UK student visa and financial requirements?

June – August

Visa & Finance

• The 28-Day Rule: Keep your tuition and living expenses in your bank account for 28 days to meet UKVI requirements.
• Medical Requirements: You’ll need to book your mandatory TB test at a UKVI-approved clinic far in advance (IOM/AMC), as slots fill up quickly.
• Visa Submission: Apply online and attend your VFS appointment with our expert guidance to ensure you are confident.

What should I do before arriving in the UK?

September

Arrival

• Orientation: Most UK universities host a "Welcome Week" for international students, allowing you to meet fellow students, open a UK bank account, and complete your final university registration.
• Travel Arrangements & Accommodation: Once your visa is approved, book your flights to arrive at least a week before your course starts and finalise your student housing.
