BEng Automotive Engineering

The BEng Automotive Engineering at Wrexham University was created to meet the demand for mechanical engineers, specifically for the automobile sector. It is intended for people who have a keen interest in mechanical engineering and a sincere wish to advance their automotive engineering expertise. Using a variety of race cars as teaching aids, the course thoroughly examines the engineering, design, analysis, and evolution of contemporary automobiles. Students will acquire transferable abilities that are relevant to numerous different businesses is also emphasised. In order to obtain expertise with machinery, students will have access to both an industry-standard production factory and a specialised motorsport workshop.

In this course, students also have the chance to work on a variety of projects that are always changing. Among the many ongoing projects are the Toyota Auris hybrid, Westfield SEi, Renault 5 RWD Electric, and a single-seater bike-powered race vehicle. At the moment, students are also managing a Formula Student team. Studying at one of the two UK educational institutions designated as official Catia Certification centres allows students to get Catia Certification alongside their degree program.
