BEng Astronautics and Space Engineering with foundation year

Course Overview

This four-year programme includes an Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Year, designed to help students who do not meet the direct entry grades. This extra year strengthens core academic skills before starting the main BEng degree. The course teaches the essential science and technologies used for space exploration and satellite creation.

The Foundation Year includes compulsory modules in Mathematics and the Principles of Engineering and Physical Science. During the main degree, students apply their knowledge through projects, often working with specialists from the Surrey Space Centre. The BEng degree is formally approved by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
