BSc Psychology

University of Suffolk

Course overview

The BSc Psychology programme offers a basic scientific understanding of the human mind and behaviour, consciously and unconsciously. Students will learn the major psychological fields, which are social, cognitive, biological, and developmental psychology. The course requires training in qualitative and quantitative research methods, which will help students think critically when analysing theories and research evidence.

The BSc Psychology course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which qualifies students for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) after finishing the programme. GBC is necessary to give students access to professional practice in areas such as clinical or educational psychology. Students will have access to upgraded facilities, including a new lab in the £13 million Health and Wellbeing Building.
