MSc Data Analytics

This postgraduate programme is designed to create skilled data analytics problem-solvers. The course is unique as it combines expertise from the Departments of Management Science, Mathematics & Statistics, and Computer & Information Sciences. This provides a broad foundation in data analytics for a fast-growing industry.

The programme includes a core module, 'Data Analytics in Practice,' where students work with external organisations on real-world business problems. This allows students to gain practical experience and build a portfolio of industry-focused projects. The course can be completed in 12 months full-time or 24 months part-time.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need at least a second-class (2:2) Honours degree or an overseas equivalent in a field with a strong quantitative component, such as mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, or economics/finance.
• Applications from those with other degrees are also encouraged if they have demonstrated a good grasp of numerical subjects.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need a minimum of 6.5 overall in IELTS, with no individual score below 5.5, or an equivalent test score.

For international students, the fee for the MSc Data Analytics at the University of Strathclyde is £31,100.

The university offers a number of scholarships to help students fund their studies. This includes the Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships, which provide an award of £5,000 for eligible international students applying for postgraduate taught degrees.
