MSc Cancer Therapies

The University of Strathclyde MSc Cancer Therapies is a unique United Kingdom programme, multifaceted in its approach to modern anti-cancer treatment. It merges principles of cancer biology, drug discovery, formulation, delivery, and radiation biology, with a central focus on personalised medicine. Taught at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences, the course provides graduates with skills to contribute to advancing cancer treatment globally.

Students gain specialised research training, learning to assess, analyse, and critically evaluate current and emerging anti-cancer therapies. Instruction is delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and hands-on practical sessions. In this course, students' progress is assessed through written examinations, coursework, oral presentations, and a substantial research project.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement and a relevant academic and/or employer reference. Students also have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants must hold at least a second-class honours degree (2:2) or its international equivalent in a science or health-related subject.
• Students holding alternative qualifications or relevant professional experience may initially be offered entry onto the Diploma course, with the potential to transfer to the MSc upon satisfactory performance in the initial semester.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with no component score lower than 5.5.
• Equivalent English language test scores such as TOEFL or PTE are also accepted.

The annual tuition fee for international students on the MSc Cancer Therapies at the University of Strathclyde is £31,250.

These include the Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships, which can offer awards of between £5,000 and £8,000 to eligible international students. There are also Faculty of Engineering Dean's International Excellence Awards, valued at £7,000 to £10,000, for exceptional applicants.
