MSc Management

Course Overview

The MSc Management at the University of South Wales helps students develop their understanding of modern management practices and how to use them in global business. The course covers important areas like operations management, digital change, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Students will gain advanced knowledge of how organisations operate in their environments and how to tackle challenges in a fast-changing business world.

This programme focuses on practical learning through subjects like International Management, New Trends in Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. Students can choose to write a dissertation or work on a real business project to apply what they have learned. The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), ensuring high-quality education that improves job opportunities for graduates.

The Master's programme lasts for one year, and the next intake will begin in September 2025.

About University

Founded in 2013 from a merger, the University of South Wales (USW) maintains strong connections to various industries and academic networks, such as the Welsh Graduate School for the Social Sciences and the USW Exchange. These connections help students find professional and research opportunities.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants who have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a Senior Management role will be considered.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least a second-class honours degree from a UK university or a similar qualification from another country.

English Proficiency:

  • International students who do not speak English as their first language must have an IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill component. 
  • Alternatively, they can provide similar scores from TOEFL.

Cost of Study

For the academic year 2025/26, international students entering the University of South Wales MSc Management programme will be required to pay a tuition fee of £16,900. Please note that this fee may be updated each year.

Scholarships

The University of South Wales provides several scholarship options to help international students cover tuition and living costs. One of the available scholarships is the International Office Scholarships, offering up to £1,500 for undergraduate students and up to £2,000 for those pursuing postgraduate studies.

Additionally, international students who have finished a top-up degree at USW and are funding their studies can receive a Progression Fee Discount of £6,000 when moving on to a master’s programme. There are also Chancellor's International Development Scholarships, which grant £2,500 to students from selected countries for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
