BSc Adult Nursing
Course overview
The BSc Adult Nursing at the University of Roehampton is a 3-year (full-time) course that prepares students to become registered nurses, combining theory, clinical skills, and professional practice. Students learn to care for adults across a variety of health and social settings, which are hospitals, community care, and primary care, while developing knowledge about the human body and how to treat and support people with long-term and acute illnesses.
The course is delivered through Seminars, lectures, group work, online learning, and reflective practical exercises, and students are assessed through exams, case study tasks, and improvement projects while completing modules such as Transforming practice for health and social care, Delivering complex and integrated care in adult nursing, and Introduction to Public Health and Health Promotion.
The Complete University Guide 2025 ranks the programme 2nd in the UK for Nursing student satisfaction, and is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. It is delivered both on Roehampton’s main campus and at Croydon University Centre.
