LLB Law
Course overview
The LLB Law at the University of Hull is a simple three-year law degree. It is a fully qualifying law degree, which means it teaches everything you need to start training as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
Teaching is practical, not just reading books. You will have normal lectures and small seminars, but you will also do real lawyer activities like arguing cases in mooting competitions, practising client interviews, learning how to negotiate, and helping real people with their legal problems at the university’s free Legal Advice Centre. There is a modern mock courtroom on campus that feels exactly like a real court.
You are not only tested with exams. Your marks come from a mixture of essays and coursework, presentations, group projects, mooting competitions, practical tasks (such as writing legal documents or advising clients), and some written exams at the end of modules.
