BSc Biochemistry With Year Abroad

University of Hull

Course overview

This four-year degree explores the chemistry that underpins living things, covering the core ideas of chemistry and biology. The course is flexible, allowing students to choose modules according to what interests them, and they will be taught by leading experts using quality, up-to-date facilities. The course is taught in a "sandwich" structure, blending classroom study with a period of international experience.

An important part of the programme is the year spent abroad, which happens in the third year. Within this year, students will study at one of the university’s partner institutions in other countries. Their progress is checked using different methods, including written exams, practical tests (like lab work), and coursework (such as essays, research projects, and longer written reports).
