About University

The University of Hertfordshire is a public university located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. It became a university in 1992 but started as Hatfield Technical College in 1948. The university is ranked 7th for engineering and technology in the 2024 Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and 10th in the UK for production and manufacturing engineering, according to the Daily Mail University Guide 2025.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need at least a 2:2 honours degree in engineering, science, or a related field that does not significantly overlap with this programme. 

  • International qualifications will be assessed for their equivalence to UK degrees.

English Proficiency:

  • For students whose native language is not English, it is required that they present an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no section scoring less than 5.5, or an equivalent test result accepted by the University.

  • Students are exempt from this requirement if they completed an undergraduate degree taught in English at a recognised university in the UK or another accepted country while residing there during their studies. 

Cost of Study

International students opting for the University of Hertfordshire's MSc Manufacturing Management with Advanced Project programme for the academic year 2025/26 will pay an estimated tuition fee of £19,800 annually. This figure may still undergo adjustments. 

Scholarships
