BA Architecture
Course overview
The BA Architecture at the University of Hertfordshire provides a professionally grounded, creative, and challenging education in architecture, urbanism, landscape, and building construction. Learners work in a studio-based environment on real-world projects such as houses, shops, museums, and public buildings, gaining practical experience and understanding of the social, political, and economic factors shaping architecture.
The programme adopts individual and team-based learning, helping students develop commercial awareness and the ability to improve the built environment. Evaluation is through a combination of coursework, design projects, and presentations, with opportunities to visit and analyse real places.
