About University

The University of Greenwich traces its origins back to 1890 when it was founded as Woolwich Polytechnic. Established to provide practical education to local workers, it expanded over the years, becoming Thames Polytechnic in 1970 after merging with other institutions. In 1992, it was granted university status and adopted its current name.

The university is organised into four faculties: the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Business School, the Faculty of Education, Health & Human Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering and Science. Grade Requirements:

  • 112 UCAS Tariff points at A-Levels, T Levels, BTECs, Access to HE and all other qualifications with UCAS Tariff points.

English Proficiency

  • Non-native speakers of English need to show proof of English proficiency. An IELTS overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each skill area is required. 

  • Academic English tests like TOEFL, and PTE Academic or high school level qualifications that you may have taken in your country are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The BA in Business Management (Finance) at the University of Greenwich costs £17,500 per year. This fee is, however, subject to change.

Scholarships

The University of Greenwich provides a variety of scholarships and bursaries to help students with tuition costs. One key option is the International Scholarship Award, which offers international students a tuition fee reduction of up to £3,500 in their first year. To be eligible, applicants must have received an offer from the university, be paying international tuition fees, and not be in receipt of another scholarship from Greenwich or any other organisation.

Another financial support option is the International Students Early Confirmation Scholarship. This is available to international students who accept their offer and pay their deposit on time. Undergraduate students can receive up to £8,000 (£4,000 in the first year, followed by £2,000 in each of the next two years), while postgraduate students may receive £4,000. The deposit must be paid through the Convera platform to qualify.
